I have notices there are no flys in Turkey. Well very very few flys. I dont think one has landed on me in the time I have been here. In the market places there is raw meat out on display and no flys are about. Apart from the flys there are no bugs, ants, lizards or general wildlife at all. I have only seen crows as far a birds go but I have heard a smaller bird but have not seen it. I suppose if there are no flys there is no food supply for the rest of the food chain.
The country is beautiful,green, with some magnificant scenery.
